It's been a year and counting

It's been a full year since I committed to writing this blog. I did it. I have to admit that toward the end of this year I questioned whether or not I should keep it up. Is anyone reading it? Does anyone care? Even if only a few people read my blogs and even fewer comment, this whole process has been extremely rewarding and at times therapeutic for me. The biggest gift is being able to look back at pictures and memories of my son (and myself) growing up. Of course my husband's awesome gift of the MacBook Pro that I am typing on was more than enough inspiration to commit or recommit to another year of blogging. He also mentioned trying to make some blogging money to pay for this laptop. Silence. Crickets. Well, you never know what the future holds.

I started last year's blog saying how silly new year's resolutions are and how I don't set them. Silly only because we eventually forget about them. But hypothetically speaking, if I were to set some new year's resolutions, what would they be?

1) Do more yoga; at home and in public classes.

2) Try to make my blogs much more humorous and candid. I'm thinking the candid part is what will make them funnier. Of course I struggle with the question: can I really make my writing funnier? Isn't the point to learn to be yourself, your true self. Maybe my true self isn't all that funny. But if they don't get funnier, then I would have to make them smarter. Now what seems easier? Becoming funnier or smarter? Think on that for a little bit.

3) Have another baby. Gulp. Yea, I said it, it's out in the universe. Wish I could magically skip the pregnant part and just get the baby part, but that's not going to happen. Xavier needs a little brother or sister and we want another baby. But this time I will only gain half of what I gained last time or less! I'm embarrassed to share that I gained a whopping sixty-five pounds with Xavier. I did carry him for 42 weeks if that helps to justify it. I pretty much ate whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted and a lot of it. This brings me to my fourth goal.

4) Continue to enjoy food but less of it or smaller portions.
