Sonia's Mom and Baby yoga classes are a very comfortable, supportive environment where moms can meet other women, enjoy special times with their babies, and experience the benefits of yoga.

These classes have their own special rhythm: moms and babies bond, a bit of baby yoga, breathwork and toning, yoga for the moms, yoga for moms and babies together.

Bring a blanket for your baby and wear loose, comfortable clothes. No prior yoga experience necessary. Newborns to pre-crawling babies and their moms (and dads) are welcome.

Flying With Two Wings: Inversions

Yoga Works, Walnut Creek, CA

Learn the art of going upside down in a safe, supportive and fun environment. Practicing inversions is a great way to develop balance, strength and confidence. Inversions revitalize and rejuvenate your whole system. Turning your body upside down reverses the effects of gravity, eliminates toxins and elevates your mood and energy. This workshop is designed to help you feel more comfortable and confident practicing inversions in a class setting and at home. There will be a strong focus on alignment and use of props. We will explore arm balances, handstand, headstand and shoulder stand.
